AFCFTA Launches Private Sector Registration Portal: A platform for Statistical & Match Making

 AFRICAN CONTINENTAL FREE TRADE AREA SECRETARIAT PRIVATE SECTOR REGISTRATION PLATFORM AGREEMENT

Kindly note that this platform is strictly for statistical and matchmaking purposes only. Registration is not mandated by Member States nor is it a requisite for trading under the AfCFTA


The AfCFTA Private Sector Platform is designed to facilitate business connections, partnerships, and collaborations among businesses in the Private Sector of State Parties;

These terms and conditions come into effect when you register to access AfCFTA’s Private Sector Platform to seek business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations;
“Participant”,"You" or "your" means any juridical person in the Private Sector of a State Party accessing the AfCFTA Private Sector Platform ("Platform").

“State Party” means a Member State that has ratified or acceded to the AfCFTA Agreement.

"The Secretariat”, “AfCFTA” “we", "us" or "our" means the African Continental Free Trade Area.

“Platform” means the AfCFTA Private Sector Platform.


Application Terms


These terms and conditions govern the use of the Platform and by accessing this Platform you agree to be bound by them.

1. Consent to Use of Data: a. The Participant hereby consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of their business information, including but not limited to, company name, contact information, business interests, and any other information provided by the Participant to the Platform ("Business Information").

b. The Participant acknowledges that the purpose of collecting Business Information is to facilitate business matchmaking, and consents to the sharing of such information with potential business partners identified by the Platform.

2. Accuracy of Information: a. The Participant represents and warrants that all Business Information provided to the Platform is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
b. The Participant agrees to promptly update their Business Information in the event of any changes.

3. Confidentiality: a. The Participant may receive confidential information from potential business partners through the Platform. The Participant agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all such information and not to disclose it to any third party without the prior written consent of the disclosing party.
b. This confidentiality obligation shall survive the termination of this Agreement.

4. Use of the Platform: a. The Participant agrees to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with the Platform's Terms of Use.
b. The Participant shall not use the Platform to engage in any activity that could harm the Platform, other participants, or the reputation of the Secretariat.

5. Indemnification: The Participant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Platform, the Secretariat, and their respective officers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with the Participant's use of the Platform or violation of this Agreement.

6. Discontinuation of the Service: The Secretariat reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Platform or any part of it, with or without notice, at any time. You agree that the Secretariat shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any such modification, suspension or discontinuance of this Application.

7. Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising under or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved through amicable negotiations.

8. Force Majeure: Notwithstanding any provision contained in this Agreement, the Secretariat shall not be liable to you to the extent fulfilment or performance of any terms or provisions of this Agreement is delayed or prevented by revolution or other civil disorders; wars; acts of enemies; strikes; labor disputes; electrical equipment or mobile network failure, fires, floods, acts of God or, without limiting the foregoing, any other causes not within its control, and which by the exercise of reasonable diligence we are unable to prevent, whether of the class of causes hereinbefore enumerated or not.

If any force majeure event occurs, we will notify you and use all reasonable efforts to minimise the impact of such event.

9. No Offer: Nothing on this Platform should be construed as an offer or recommendation to trade under the AfCFTA
